The Women cell of St Theresa Child Jesus, Airoli aims at empowering and orienting women to recognize their true potential and to help them attain their own stand in a competing world. With relevance to have an influential and fruitful event, the core team organized series of event highlighting the importance of womanhood.
The First Ever Event kicked off with International Women’s Day celebration on 8th March 2023 organized by the Women Cell Core team members under the guidance of Father Joe Dmello embarked a successful event celebrating womanhood from St Theresa of Child Jesus Parish. This was the platform celebrating strong character of faith and highlighting achievements of women cell.
Second Event of the year Adoration Prayer for Peace against Manipur Violence was conducted in July 2023 as a protest Event organized for peace in Manipur against the Ethnic violence that plunged the small Indian state of Manipur due to the major rivals within the civil communities- the majority Meitei and minority Kuki (mostly Christian) over the dispute of land and influence.
Followed by this event, WC Organized DP Blast campaign for violence against women in Manipur the women cell of the parish did a digital protest against the unethical action. To voice out deep concern and demand justice, the women cell core team shared a poster which was displayed as WhatsApp DP as sign of silence protest and support on 30th July. Strong participation from all the parishioners as sign of solidarity from St Theresa of Child Jesus Airoli Parish was witnessed.
The Subsequent Event that followed was celebrating ‘Girl Child Day’ on ‘The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary’ feast on 8th Sep 2023. WC Core Team organized meaningful skit based on the theme of "Tech for Change: Empowering the Girl Child" a time of reflection, inspired Anecdote, and real-life stories –created an impact and awareness on educational values and women empowerment.
