The STCJ Master Chef Community Wise Cooking Competition was a grand success with 8 communities participating and presenting 10 dishes in total which included 2 starters, 5 main course items and 3 desserts. Each community was assigned a specific cuisine which was decided via chits and every community was asked to make the food as authentic as possible with the authentic taste and presentation decided as the criteria for judging. Cuisines (after draws) St. Anthony - Italian St. Dominic Savio - Spanish St. John - Afghani St. Jude - French Our Lady of Rosary - Chinese St. Michael - Thai St. Don Bosco - Japanese St. Vincent De Paul - American Every community put on a show and our judges (Fr. Samuel Ribeiro and Br. Alan Dsilva) had a great time tasting these delicious food items. We also had a small question answer round with each community to know more about the meal that they prepared and the entire event was shown live on YouTube for our lovely parishioners to watch from home and to cheer for their community. Sushi Rice Bowl, Alfredo Pasta, Afghani Pulao, All American Burgers, Chicken Francese, Creme Brulee, Sticky Rice with Mango, San Choy Bow, Tortilla De Patatas, Churros and some more food items were presented in the best way by our parishioners. Youth who were a part of the Deanery Sports Day and who have been always active in Church were also invited to taste the food which was made for the competition.
