STCJ Food Carnival March'2025

STCJ Food Carnival (Cooking without Fire) DATE - TO BE ANNOUNCED No registration fee General Rules 1. No Cooking or Heating – Participants are not allowed to use any form of fire, stove, induction, microwave, or electric heating devices. 2. Pre-Prepared Ingredients Allowed – Ingredients such as chopped vegetables, boiled items, or pre-cooked ingredients can be brought from home. 3. Time Limit – Each team/participant will have 45 minutes to prepare and present their dish. 4. Hygiene & Cleanliness – Participants must maintain cleanliness while preparing food. Gloves, aprons, and hair caps are recommended. 5. Creativity & Presentation – The dish should be innovative, well-presented, and visually appealing. 6. No Raw Meat or Seafood – Only vegetarian or pre-cooked ingredients can be used for safety reasons. 7. Plating & Garnishing – Proper plating and garnishing should be done before presenting the dish to the judges. 8. Judging Criteria – The dishes will be judged based on taste, creativity, presentation, and hygiene. 9. Team Size – Participants can compete individually or in teams of 3 members. 10. No External Assistance – Only participants are allowed to prepare the dish; external help is not permitted. 11. Dish Name & Explanation – Each participant/team must name their dish and give a short description of its ingredients and inspiration. 12. Use of Packaged or Ready-to-Eat Items – Limited use of packaged food is allowed, but the main dish should be freshly prepared. 13. Eligibility Food has to be prepared by only boys or men, no community wise participation rules will be applicable and 2 or 3 boys/men from different communities can also participate. Ideas for the food and drink items that can be prepared Chaats & Salads 1. Bhel Puri – A mix of puffed rice, sev, chopped veggies, and chutneys. 2. Dahi Puri – Mini puris stuffed with yogurt, chutneys, and spices. 3. Sprouts Chaat – Healthy salad with sprouted moong, veggies, and lemon juice. 4. Fruit Chaat – A mix of seasonal fruits with chaat masala. 5. Paneer Salad – Cubed paneer with veggies, lemon, and spices. Sandwiches & Rolls 6. Mumbai Veg Sandwich – Stuffed with cucumber, tomato, potato, and chutney. 7. Dahi Bread Chaat – Soft bread pieces soaked in curd and chutneys. 8. Paneer Wrap – Soft tortilla filled with paneer, veggies, and mayo. 9. Cheese Chilli Toast (No Cook) – Cheese spread with chopped chilies and herbs on bread. 10. Cucumber & Tomato Sandwich – Classic refreshing sandwich with butter and seasonings. Desserts & Sweets 11. Laddoo (No Cook) – Made with crushed biscuits, condensed milk, and nuts. 12. Chocolate Balls – Crushed cookies mixed with cocoa and condensed milk. 13. Dry Fruit Barfi – Blended dry fruits shaped into barfis. 14. Shrikhand – Sweetened yogurt with saffron, cardamom, and nuts. 15. Fruit Cream – Mixed seasonal fruits in sweet whipped cream. Beverages & Coolers 16. Lassi (Sweet/Salted) – Blended curd with sugar or salt and spices. 17. Aam Panna – Raw mango pulp mixed with spices and mint. 18. Masala Buttermilk – Curd blended with ginger, green chilies, and coriander. 19. Cold Coffee – Instant coffee blended with milk, ice, and sugar. 20. Falooda – Milkshake with basil seeds, rose syrup, and falooda sev.
