Today is the feast of St. John the Evangelist and here is a writeup to help everyone understand more about this beautiful community. As a part of St Theresa Child Jesus, Airoli St John Community is one of the vibrant and united community of SCC cell consisting of approx. 40 families from Sector 4 and 5. The community aims at deepening faith within the community members and to have fellowship across all the age groups.
The community regularly meets for SCC or Cluster meetings, Animator meeting, Core group Meeting for faith formation, reflection and Event organization within the community.
The Commmunity mmebers are also actively involved in various Parish Services and core groups like PPC, Ushers, Lectors, Altar Servers, Choir, Senior Citizen group, Women cell, Administrations etc
St John community participates in the various Parish level sports tournaments like Cricket, Carrom, Table Tennis, Dodgeball, Ball in the Bucket etc and witnessed the team spirit and unity within the team. The community actively participates in the Annual Christmas Carol, Crib and Star making Competition at parish level, community member’s right from 5yrs to 70 years old actively participates in the competition and shows their creativity and innovation, and even managed to be among the winners. St John community actively engages members for one day Picnic and Outings to have overall bonding and refreshing experience.
Community also celebrates annually St John Evangelist feast by having community gathering to have fellowship and fun within the members.
Apart from this, St John community has been engaging in various parish level activities like Independence day celebration, Parish Feast, Parents and Grandparents day celebration, Womens day celebration etc.
